121-124 Far Gosford Street

As part of the development of the Hand & Heart, on Far Gosford Street, Coventry by Mazing, the adjoining property, 121-124 was refurbished. Covered in boardings, 121-124 was unrecognisable as a C16th structure although it was considered to be a Tudor house from mapping research.

During the works the structure was however revealed to be a medieval barn, which had possibly been dismantled and re-erected on the street. An early project for the Heritage Lottery Fund’s Townscape Heritage Initiative which covered the length of Far Gosford Street. 121-124 Far Gosford Street is now the home of the City of Culture 2021.
